The Role
We are seeking a Development Project Manager who can balance project delivery discipline with agile leadership. The Development Project Manager facilitates communication, manages risks, and drives accountability across the development lifecycle. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable with tracking timelines, managing risks, reporting to stakeholders, facilitating stand-ups, and supporting team growth. This position is local to the Malvern, PA area.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate daily stand-ups, feature reviews, retrospectives, and other agile oriented ceremonies as appropriate.
- Coordinate dependencies across teams and functional areas to ensure efficient and seamless delivery.
- Support release planning to ensure features are delivered on schedule and aligned with business objectives.
- Monitor workloads and assist with effective task allocation among development team members.
- Provide delivery plan reporting to the operations management team on a recurring basis, including feature status, burndown, and risks.
- Proactively identify project risks, dependencies, and potential blockers; develop and implement mitigation strategies.
- Escalate issues as needed and ensure timely resolution to maintain project momentum.
- Drive accountability within cross-functional teams and help remove impediments that may impact delivery.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance scalability, efficiency, and overall team performance.
Skills and Experience
- 3–5+ years of experience in software project management, ideally in SaaS or FinTech.
- Strong understanding of agile concepts (Scrum/Kanban) and traditional project management practices.
- Familiarity with software development concepts, APIs, CI/CD, and QA/testing processes.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.
- Project management certification (e.g. PMP, CSM, etc) a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a small company environment, balancing multiple responsibilities and shifting priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in software project management, ideally in SaaS or FinTech.
