Accountant
The Role
As an Accountant, you will support the VP of Finance and Administration by managing the day-to-day financial tasks of the company as well as assisting with human resources day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage accounts payable including approval flow, entering into the accounting system and issuing payments
- Maintain and manage accounts receivable including issuing invoices and following up if/when aged
- Posting entries in the general ledger
- Assisting with the month-end process and ensuring deadlines are met
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Process employee expense reimbursements
- Process sales tax returns
- Assist with recruiting including online job postings and scheduling job interviews
- Onboard new employees, manage termination workflow
- Maintain employee files
- Other duties as assigned which may include HR or administrative tasks
Skills & Experience
- 1+ years’ experience in accounting, HR knowledge a plus
- Knowledge and experience with QBO
- BA/BS Degree in related field required
- Attention to detail
- Strong team player and excellent problem-solving skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
