The Role

As an Accountant, you will support the VP of Finance and Administration by managing the day-to-day financial tasks of the company as well as assisting with human resources day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage accounts payable including approval flow, entering into the accounting system and issuing payments
  • Maintain and manage accounts receivable including issuing invoices and following up if/when aged
  • Posting entries in the general ledger
  • Assisting with the month-end process and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements
  • Process employee expense reimbursements
  • Process sales tax returns
  • Assist with recruiting including online job postings and scheduling job interviews
  • Onboard new employees, manage termination workflow
  • Maintain employee files
  • Other duties as assigned which may include HR or administrative tasks

Skills & Experience

  • 1+ years’ experience in accounting, HR knowledge a plus
  • Knowledge and experience with QBO
  • BA/BS Degree in related field required
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong team player and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
